1953-1960 Classic Car Engines Troubleshooting Guide: No Oil Pressure

Things to Look For:

  1. Oil pressure gauge defective.
  2. Pipe to oil pressure gauge stopped up.
  3. Not enough oil in crankcase.
  4. Oil pump broken.
  5. Oil pressure relief valve stuck open.
  6. Oil passages on discharge side of pump stopped up.
  7. Oil screen or passages on intake side of pump stopped up.
