We frequently talk of the many manufacturers who once built, or still do build, cars in the U.S. As the years go by the list gets longer, with the overwhelming majority no longer producing automobiles. Therefore, we decided to compile a list of every US automobile manufacturer who produced at least a few cars before going under.
This turned out to be a daunting task, since lists haven't been kept by any reputable sources. Below is our list. If we're missing anything let us know and we'll add it to the list. Here we go:
